For as long as I can remember, I've tried to imagine heaven.
We know from Revelation 21 that it is a place where there will be no more tears, and no more pain. Revelation 22 tells us that God is seated on His throne in heaven, and His servants are worshiping Him.
That's what gets me.
Can you imagine the deafening sound of millions of God's servants singing the praises of Jesus...in the presence of Jesus?
And can you imagine how still the silence must be when all at once, they hush to listen to Him speak?
All of heaven worships with complete surrender because they are in the presence of the Savior — our Savior. Forgiven, rescued from sin, and given life brand new. It must be overwhelming!
We may not have the luxury of standing in the throne room of heaven, but we do stand in the presence of the God of heaven.
Today, and every time you listen to this song, I hope you set your mind on the hope we have of heaven with Jesus.
I may not be there yet, but I want to live every day singing "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God almighty!" at the top of my lungs, as if I was there.
Because whether we realize it or not, He is here!
